THE VESTRY

The People’s Vestry is part of the Holy Redeemer Church building that was built in the 1930’s and is where the choir used to prepare for services.   With the orginal dark wooden doors and stained glass, this is an atmospheric space.  The character and versatility of the room make it suitable for a variety of functions:

• Small parties & events
• Meetings
• Music rehearsals and lessions
• Educational training and
• Church meetings

The vestry of the Holy Redeemer is approximately 8.5m long by 3.7m wide and can seat up to 25 people. It is located in Streatham Vale with plenty of free parking in Churchmore Road and nearby streets. It is easily accessible by public transport and has a portable ramp for wheel chairs. The room has a drinks preparation area with sink, two toilets (but no disabled access), a piano and integrated music system.

Facilities included in the cost of hire include:

• Tables
• Chairs
• Tea & coffee making facilities (urn and cups)
• Piano
• Music system

AVAILABILITY

Availability depends on regular bookings and staff cover.  The room is not available on a Sunday or after 11pm.

CONDITIONS OF HIRE

The basic conditions are as follows:

• Own cleaning is required
• Alcohol is not permitted.
• Stiletto heels are not permitted without protective caps.
• Hirers must abide by our Safeguarding Policies to protect children and vulnerable adults.
• The purpose of hire must not conflict with the beliefs or practices of the Christian faith.

COST

The cost of hiring the vestry is competitive and there are discounts for regular new bookings.

BOOKING

A deposit is required at the time of booking.  This will be refunded after the hire provided that no damage has been caused and the conditions of hire have not been breached by the hirer. Payment of the deposit and for the cost of hire is required no less than four working days before the hire period.
